Hi, my name is Aimee Frey. I am thrilled to be a teacher with over 16 years of experience both in diverse school settings and children's ministry. I majored in English Education with a TESOL certificate (Teachers to Speakers of Other Languages). I have my masters in curriculum and instruction with high distinction. I also have a strong science background having taken classes in biology, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, inorganic and organic chemistry, as well as physics. While at California State University, Chico I was chosen to be part of the TRIAD Project, which enabled me to work with my cooperating teacher and a specialized science professor to create an NGSS (Next Generation Science Standard) unit which has been published and presented at a symposium. Before moving to Rocklin I taught in Paradise, CA. I am looking forward to using my diverse background of study and the passion I have for teaching to create, modify, or supplement curriculum, whether biblical or academic, to ensure student growth. My goal as a teacher is to develop and prepare students to become passionate life long learners that enjoy the journey that it takes to learn something new.

Apart from my academic life, I was born and raised in Paradise, California and moved to Rocklin seven years ago to be closer to my family. I have an incredible family whom I love to spend time with. My sisters are both teachers as is one of my brother-in-laws. The other brother-in-law is a mechanical engineer. I have five nieces and two nephews. I love being apart of their lives and watching them grow and learn. When I am not teaching you will find my nose in a book or Bible study, spending time with my sweet family and friends, baking, going to church, or traveling to new locations.
